ESSA aims to raise awareness to the Events and Exhibition sector of the importance of using a contractor or supplier that is a member of a recognised association, giving the end user assurances of the best possible service.
To become a member of ESSA Smart AV has had to fulfil strict criterion, based on service, equipment quality and company practices. The fulfilment of this criterion means that our clients can be assured that Smart AV is a contractor who has been recognised as a trusted supplier to the industry.
GLOBAL NETWORK OF ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT
Smart AV’s directors are part of a global network where they can easily contact and confer with other association executives throughout the world. All members are similarly minded within matters of an international nature and this network allows them to share views with a multitude of global peers.
As a member of the AV Alliance, Smart AV is able to utilise the offering of trusted partners to supply and support its clients throughout the world.
To fit the criteria of the AV Alliance, at least three of the following five services must be offered: lighting, audio, video, rigging, IT and all of the following services must be offered: engineering, installation, operation, support, storage.
Becoming a member also means that we have fulfilled every aspect of a certain set of criteria, including a specific level of technical expertise, installation, high-quality equipment and certificates of performance.
Smart AV has found many opportunities where it has been more effective and economical to utilise the services of trusted worldwide partners. What this means for our clients is that we can provide the same great service for events worldwide, at a much lower cost.
ISO 20121 CERTIFIED
Smart AV believes that it has a responsibility to the communities it works in, that the business should be sustainable if it is to continue to succeed and grow. This is why it was the first audio visual company to have been accredited with BS8901, the British Standard of Sustainability back in 2009.
Today, Smart AV is ISO 20121 certified, the same accreditation that was used at the 2012 Olympics, showing an international standard of sustainability across internal company policies and the projects that we work on.
We have been working steadily since our inception, to layer sustainable aspects throughout every area of the company and to help the stakeholders we work with to operate in a more sustainable manner. This includes looking at how we recycle waste and redundant equipment, the way in which we operate while onsite at an
event, the vehicles we use and the legacy that we are able to leave behind in our local community.
Smart AV are proud to be ISO 20121 certified and will continue to work to minimise the environmental impacts associated with the events industry, which can often lead to extended benefits for our clients, including reduced costs and more tightly organised onsite deployment.
